Bug 351

Summary: DocBook file?
Product: SDL Reporter: Ryan C. Gordon <icculus>
Component: *don't know*Assignee: Ryan C. Gordon <icculus>
Status: RESOLVED WONTFIX QA Contact: Sam Lantinga <slouken>
Severity: normal
Priority: P1
Version: HG 1.2
Hardware: All
OS: All

Description Ryan C. Gordon 2006-10-28 20:56:50 UTC
SDL has a "docs" directory that looks to have been generated from a docbook source...but I don't see the original DocBook data anywhere, just the generated HTML and manpages.

Can we include this file in Subversion, delete this directory and point people to the wiki, or replace this with a Doxygen solution? There are documentation updates that should be made, but it's not really worth updating the generated HTML and manpages by hand.

Bumping a bunch of bugs to Priority 1 for consideration for the 1.2.12 release.

Martin Dunlon has the original source, and I got it from him a year ago and tried to build it with no success. He was using old templates that didn't work with the latest versions of docbook. The sources have since been lost in a hard drive wipe.

If you really want to grab them from him and try again, go for it. Otherwise I'll just mark this won't fix, since at this point the 1.2 documentation changes are minor enough that hand editing is okay.
