Bug 1064

Summary: configure still has --enable-stdio-redirect option
Product: SDL Reporter: Eris Caffee <eris-sdl>

Status: RESOLVED FIXED QA Contact: Sam Lantinga <slouken>

Description Eris Caffee 2010-10-19 18:29:30 UTC
The configure script still lists the --enable-stdio-redirect option for Windows targets even though the stdio redirection code has been removed. The configure option ought to be removed as it was quite confusing to me.

This was my first time using SDL 1.3 and I did not know the redirection had been taken out, but I was expecting it. I tried re-configuring and recompiling multiple times and wondering why stdout.txt was missing, until I finally looked in the SDL source and realized what was going on.
